ASD US 250-11.62 Bridge Replacement Over A Branch Of Lang Creek​

This Level 2 Bridge Project involved the preparation of a Bridge Type Study and Plans for replacement of a two-span concrete girder bridge north of the City of Ashland in Ashland County. Four alternatives were studied for the replacement bridge including a single span reinforced concrete slab bridge, a single span prestressed composite adjacent box beam bridge, a single span steel beam bridge with reinforced concrete deck and a precast concrete arch culvert. The selected alternative was the adjacent box beam bridge with integral abutments. The project included utility relocations (power), new retaining walls and additional ROW. The design effort included survey, geotechnical investigations, environmental services, and preparation of Stage 1, 2, 3 and ROW Plans. MOT Plans were also prepared for part width construction. Construction of the project was completed in the fall of 2021.
