Jackson Pike WWTP Primary Clarifiers Upgrades
Ribway was selected as the prime consultant to provide professional engineering services for rehabilitation of existing sludge collectors and miscellaneous electrical equipment including MCCs, control panels, disconnect switches, electrical conduits, wiring and replacement of drive motors and gear reducers for the primary clarifier collection equipment at this plant. Preliminary design for the project was completed in June 2016. Preliminary recommendations include refurbishing the collectors, replacement of two (2) aged MCCs (600 AMP, 480 Volt) and complete refurbishment of two (2) other existing MCCs in the Primary Buildings. In addition, new motors, gear boxes and local panels for the primary tanks sludge collectors and tilt tubes, new conduits and wiring will be provided. Other improvements include new local control panels for the effluent sample pumps, a new step down transformer for lighting panels and miscellaneous concrete repair and painting. A detailed construction sequence was developed for construction of the project to minimize the number of primary clarifiers out of service and interruptions to primary treatment operations.
