Hayden Run Road Bridge Deck Improvements (NOR-32-6.74 Over Scioto River)

Ribway was selected as the prime consultant to provide engineering design services for this project that includes miscellaneous deck improvements to this 4-span, 801’ long, continuous A588 steel haunched girder structure with a non-composite reinforced concrete deck carrying four lanes of traffic over the Scioto River.  The improvements will include lane reassignment, construction of a 10 ft wide SUP on the south side of the bridge, replacement of the 2½” asphalt wearing surface over the entire deck including waterproofing (Type 3), patching of deteriorated areas of the concrete deck, extension of the deck drains (downspouts), replacement of deteriorated sections of the north parapet, and replacement of the expansion joints. The improvements will also require part-width construction. Design services will be completed in the fall of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2023.
