Sycamore Woods Boulevard Bridge Improvements

This Level 1 Bridge project involved the rehabilitation of a 132-foot, two span, concrete box beam bridge. The bridge rehabilitation work included the removal of the existing deck including the old concrete box beams and guardrail, refurbishment of the existing abutments and center pier, installation of new concrete box beams, waterproofing, new pavement surfacing, pavement striping and new guardrail. The project also included the installation of a special polymer modified asphalt expansion joint system at both ends of the bridge and restoration of the embankment. Construction was completed in 2011.
